80 years of high-performance lubricants

The founding of the former Mineralölwerk Lützkendorf started a remarkable story of success on October 26th, 1936. Within a few years the young company became one of the largest refineries in Germany. However, shortly afterwards the Second World War and its consequences brought the upturn to an abrupt end. However, already in 1945 the rebuilding of the plants which had been almost completely destroyed started and soon afterwards production was resumed. The nationally-owned company covered the better part of the lubricant demand of the GDR in the following decades. After Germany’s Reunification the company’s most popular brand became the new name of the company: ADDINOL – Additives in Oil. Today ADDINOL develops and produces high-performance lubricants which set standards.
